Actually, the benzine peroxide creams usually work pretty well. It will not only clear up your pimples but the peroxide will make them less visible. I wouldn't use a cortisone cream unless your doctor recommends it or gives it to you; since cortisone is a steroid cream and can cause thinning of the skin (anything that ends in ';isone'; or ';izone'; is a steroid).

If you use cortisone for too long it can make your skin thin, easily stretched and give you visible veins, I wouldn't use it for pimples.

I use a neosporin overnight to bring down the swelling faster. Also try crushing up an aspirin and make a paste with water. You will need bandaids for that.
