Temporary relief for itchy skin. Cortisone reduces the inflammation response and helps block the release of histomine, which damages cells. Cortisone will also reduce the redness from an imune reaction, say to poison ivy, but I suggest you use it sparingly. Long term use of this stuff is not a good idea.What is cortisone cream for?

its good for any type of rash, and its good for acne...I know a few people who have used it on their acne and they told me that it helped a lot.
it releaves itching and inflammation from eczema, rashes, dry skin and skin allergies
