no, its bad. cortisone reduces inflammation.
inflammation is an vital step in the healing process within the body. you will increase the healing time of your cut.
as already advised use an antispetic oitment (if necessary) and protect while healing
no spit - your saliva has anti-bacterial properties but they are used to contain the massive amounts of bacteria that live in your mouth- think about it warm, dark, moist and lots of food - rinsegargle with water often and don't spit on your cut!
all the bestWould it be good to use a steroid cortisone cream on a cut?
ther are regimens in taking/applying some streriods. if it is just an ordinary cut, wash with clean water pat dry and apply thinly, some antibiotic ointment/cream and leave the cut open. apply for as long as the cut is still fresh.Would it be good to use a steroid cortisone cream on a cut?
not to my knowledge 0 steroid creams are used for inflamation of the skin like reactions. u do not want to absorb too much steroid into the blood stream - it messes with your blood sugar balance and needs to be detoxified by liver.
wash the cut, dab with antiseptic, and either leave exposed to air (be hygienic) or coveer with bandaid. i think saliva is a good antibacterial, rub a little spit on from time to time i swear!
